1. Introduction

Oahu Prep LLC ("Oahu Prep," "I," "me," or "my") operates the website at oahuprep.com (the "Site") and provides one-on-one tutoring services. This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect, how I use it, and the choices you have. Because I work primarily with students — including minors — I take privacy seriously and keep data collection to the minimum needed to provide my services.

2. Information I Collect

a. Information You Provide

When you submit the contact form, book a free intro session, or communicate with me directly, I may collect your name, email address, phone number, and any details you share about the student's academic needs. For billing purposes, I also maintain records of packages purchased and sessions completed.

b. Payment Information

If you pay via Stripe, your payment details (credit card number, billing address) are collected and processed directly by Stripe. I do not store your full card details on my servers. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. If you pay via Venmo, Zelle, or cash, those transactions are handled by the respective platforms or in person, and I retain only a record of the amount and date for my bookkeeping.

c. Automatically Collected Information

When you visit the Site, I collect standard technical information through Google Analytics 4, including pages visited, time on site, referring pages, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location (city-level). This data is used in aggregate to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve it. Google Analytics may use cookies to collect this data. d. Contact Form Metadata

When you submit the contact form, I also record your IP address, browser user agent, the page you submitted from, and the date and time of submission. This information is used solely for spam prevention and to maintain the integrity of the contact system.

3. How I Use Your Information

I use the information I collect to:

Respond to your inquiries and schedule sessions. Provide and improve tutoring services. Send session confirmations, scheduling updates, and relevant communications about your student's progress. Process payments and maintain billing records. Monitor and improve the Site. Prevent spam and abuse of the contact form.

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. I do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes beyond occasional follow-up communications directly related to tutoring services. I will not send you promotional emails without your consent.

4. Information Sharing

I may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: I use Stripe for payment processing, Google Analytics for site analytics, and Proton Mail for email communications. These providers receive only the information necessary to perform their functions and are bound by their own privacy policies.

Legal requirements: I may disclose information if required by law, court order, or legal process, or if I believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.

I do not share student information, session details, progress notes, or academic records with anyone other than the student and their parent or guardian (for minor students), unless required by law.

5. Children's Privacy

Oahu Prep provides tutoring to students of all ages, including minors. I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site. Contact form submissions and communications regarding minor students are expected to come from a parent or guardian. If I become aware that I have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, I will take steps to delete that information promptly.

For students between 13 and 17, information is typically provided by or with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Session notes and academic records related to minor students are shared only with the student and their parent or guardian.

6. Data Security

I take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including using encrypted email (Proton Mail), secure payment processing (Stripe), and HTTPS encryption on the Site. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

I retain contact form submissions, session records, and billing information for as long as needed to provide services and fulfill legal and accounting obligations. If you would like me to delete your personal information, please contact me and I will do so within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate bookkeeping purposes.

8. Cookies

The Site uses cookies primarily through Google Analytics to collect usage data as described above. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect the core functionality of the Site.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites such as Google Maps, Stripe, and scheduling tools. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. You may also opt out of any non-essential communications. To exercise any of these rights, please contact me using the information below.
